Senior Executives

The General Partner has established an investment committee (the “Investment Committee”) dedicated to the General Partner’s management and oversight of the Fund’s investments. The biographies of the senior executives are shown below.

James Aldrich, Co-Founder and Senior Managing Director, focuses on sourcing capital and prospective transactions and business and asset management strategies. Mr. Aldrich graduated from University of California, Los Angeles 1989. He has been in the real estate industry since 1991. From 1991 thru 2000 Mr. Aldrich worked as a leasing agent, acquisitions manager, construction manager and portfolio manager of over 2 million square feet of industrial and office properties for Pacifica Capital Group. He was the regional manager of the Los Angeles market for First Industrial for one year after First Industrial purchased Pacifica’s industrial portfolio. From 2002 to the present, Mr. Aldrich purchased numerous industrial, retail, office and apartment projects under Ascent Affiliates, Inc., a company he owned and funded. Mr. Aldrich has also worked with Mr. Allen Glass during the previous seven years placing private loans on office, industrial, and single and multi-family residential properties that generated over a 12.5% annualized return for the investors of the fund since its inception (generating an approximate 90% cumulative return for the investors during the previous seven years, versus a virtually 0% return, or less, generated by an investment in the S&P 500 or Dow Jones Industrial Average Indexes during the same time period).

Allen Glass, Co-Founder and Senior Managing Director, focuses on sourcing and underwriting prospective transactions, developing financial structures and business and financial strategies. Mr. Glass has spent over 40 years in the real estate industry, primarily in the lender’s capacity. In the early-to-mid 1980s, he served in significant operational positions in both Federal court trusteeships and State court receiverships, all involving lenders. These experiences provided opportunities to work with attorneys and the courts to resolve complex distressed real estate issues and, ultimately, permitted Mr. Glass to liquidate assets on behalf of estates. He has been active in the thrift industry as a direct lender, broker and servicer, and has negotiated loan portfolio acquisitions and sales. He has worked extensively with auditors and regulatory agencies’ staff. He has been a principal in a number of brokerage companies that both originated loans and marketed real estate.
